Amanda Pillar is a speculative fiction author and editor who lives in Victoria, Australia, with her partner and two children, Saxon and Lilith, Burmese cats. She developed her love for books when she was 12 years old; and when she was 13, started writing her first — and absolutely terrible — novel.

Many years later, she has had numerous short stories published. She is the in-house editor for Morrigan Books and has co-edited the fiction anthologies, Voices (2008) and Grants Pass, which was published in the USA by Morrigan Books in August, 2009. Amanda is currently working on The Phantom Queen, an anthology due to be published Feb, 2010.

In her free time, she plans on becoming the next Indiana Jones.
